from used coffee grounds, using 3 simple ingredients.
I’m an avid coffee lover. I loved it even more when I discovered various ways to repurpose used coffee ground, such as making coffee art, fertilizer, and beauty products like soap or body scrub.
Coffee has high antioxidants, and it’s beneficial for our skin. Before you toss your used coffee grounds, consider turning it into a luscious body or foot scrub! It’s quick and easy to make. Watch my IG TV here or follow the instructions below.

Ratio 2 : 1 : 1
- 2 tbsp of used coffee grounds
- 1 tbsp of sugar (white or brown)
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 10-20 drops of essential oil (peppermint and sweet orange is oh-so-divine!) *optional
Mix well until it becomes paste-like, and it’s done! Transfer the mix into a reusable container, be it glass or plastic. This D.I.Y. Coffee scrub also makes a great homemade gift for friends and family, especially coffee lovers.
If you want to make more, just increase the ratio accordingly. E.g., 4 : 2 : 2 – This ratio is good for 2 weeks if you scrub once a week.
I always believe in ‘make fresh, use fresh’. Try not to make a big batch to keep as the mix may turn moldy if it’s not well covered in coconut oil.
